Helen received her Master of Arts degree at San Jose State University, after receiving a
B.A. degree from Stanford University in history and art. She has studied with nationally
known painters like Robert E. Wood, Jan Kunz, Stephen Quiller, Carole Barnes and Kevin
MacPherson. Helen taught art on the elementary and secondary level in California,
Pennsylvania and Hawaii. She has been painting and teaching art privately for 16 years.

Helen’s paintings have been shown in numerous solo shows in Hawaii, and many national
and local group shows. Her works are in private collections throughout the United
States, Canada and Europe.
